Close to "Heaven" - As we sat in the Adirondack
chairs by the creek while our children played and explored the tall end of many,
many hours in the creek with the fish, the crawdads and the frogs, the cool
evening wind blowing through the trees and gardens- you think this is near
perfection- "close to heaven". We had an extremely wonderful time at the
beautiful Hayden Creek Inn. We all did and the first day our children asked to
come back and that's a threat Joe and Glynis. Thank you so much for everything-
you guys are great hosts. Good luck. See you next year.

My family was just passing by for the night on our
college search and we needed a place to stay. We were going to settle for Best
Western but we ended up with the most fabulous place on earth! Hayden Creek Inn
was an awesome experience with comfy beds, a great backyard, wonderful people,
good food and a great and homey feeling! Thank you so much for everything! We
wish we could have stayed longer! Don't forget the cats either! Hats off to
great work on a great place!

We had a very nice stay for our visit to
Cooperstown! Our two kids loved the creek- it was the highlight of our trip. The
beds were so comfortable and the quiet relaxing atmosphere was awesome! The

Today is my first day back to
work (boo-bummer) and I'm just now seeing your email for the
first time.
We had a fabulous vacation
...even with the series of unfortunate events on the road and at
the ball park - it was probably one of the best vacations we
have ever had!
Having a place like The Hayden
Creek to retreat to made all the travel mishaps seem trivial!
The boys were the envy of their team - they bragged about the
pillowy soft beds that felt as though they were floating
on clouds in baseball heaven. And, having a healthy breakfast
that included fresh fruit and juice before heading out for a
long day at the ball park only enhanced the baseball juices
that flowed through their veins..... As the Co-MVPs of the
tournament were both guests at your Inn, I suppose you could say
the secret of a champion baseball MVP's success is..."The Hayden
Creek Inn"!
When asking the boys what some
of their favorite moments were, I thoroughly expected them to
say, "WINNING THE CHAMPIONSHIP" and surprised when they said
playing in the creek behind the Inn (we city folks don't get out
nearly often enough), riding your bikes (thanks for sharing),
and the chocolate chip cookies you brought outside for them
while they were playing in the creek.
For me it was the total package
- BAR-NONE atmosphere and hospitality! Like I wrote in your
guest book; There is NO PLACE LIKE HOME and NO PLACE LIKE "THE
HAYDEN CREEK INN"!
I'm already looking for an
excuse to come back, we just didn't get enough! Joe & Glynis -
we meant it when we said you are welcome anytime at our place
... Come anytime!
Thanks for making our visit to
Cooperstown a vacation we will never forget! We wish you
